The Labyrinth Project of Alabama was founded by
Annette Reynolds MPS,RN,ATR-BC , a licensed health care professional for over 30 years, is a Board Certified Art Therapist, and president
of the Alabama Art Therapy Association . She is also a registered nurse and has worked as an
interfaith CPE hospital chaplain. Her work is multidimensional, weaving together the physical,
emotional, and spiritual. She has worked with diverse populations in a wide variety of settings.
Annette believes that the creative process in itself is healing, and that everyones life is
their art.
As the founder of the Labyrinth
Project of Alabama and as a ceritified Veriditas facilitator, Annette co-creates earth, canvas, and finger-walking
labyrinths. She has facilitated hundreds of labyrinth events, and participated in conferences
worldwide. These include the Arts and Creativity Conference in Russia, The Labyrinth Society International
Conference and Gathering, the Omega Institute in New York, the American Art Therapy
Association, Let Us Walk With Mary at Chartres Cathedral In France, and Journey Into
Wholeness. Annette has authored many labyrinth articles and writings, and her Labyrinth work has
been cited in books, magazines, newspapers, videos and on T.V.. She has traveled as a pilgrim to
many sacred sites including, India, South America, Crete, Israel, , and Europe. As an Art
Therapist Annettte has used the Labyrinth with the elderly, children and teens. Annette
especially enjoys being on the labyrinth with her granddaughter Lyra.
